As a teacher
Jennie is equally passionate about teaching as she is performing. Her unconventional path of learning the piano has led to her firm belief in the importance of having an exceptional teacher at even the beginning stages of piano studying. She is fully bilingual and offers lessons in both English and Chinese. She has taught students both throughout the United States and in China, and enjoys teaching students of all experiences and backgrounds.
Jennie is currently on the piano faculty at Bronx School for Music in New York. She also serves as Graduate Teaching Assistant at Rutgers University and has taught for two years as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at the University of Denver. As a piano Teaching Assistant at the University of Denver during the COVID-19 pandemic, she has taught Music Theory and Music History online to non-major students in addition to private lessons.
